International Women’s Day 2026 & High-Level Advocacy Tour Led by Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck 7–12 March 2026

Bhutan marked International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls.” The National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC), in collaboration with RENEW, the Ministry of Health, The PEMA Secretariat, UNFPA, and UNICEF, led the national observance and advocacy tour across Haa, Samtse, and Phuentsholing.

Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, Royal Patron of RENEW and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, graced the events as Guest of Honour, reaffirming the collective commitment to advancing the rights, dignity, and well-being of women and girls in Bhutan.
